GNEMSDC 2017 Expo
| Greetings From The President
Please join me on September 27th as the Board of Directors, the corporate members, the certified MBEs and staff of GNEMSDC pursue and promote the complementary goals of economic inclusion and minority business development, goals which are important to all of us. Collectively, we support these important goals by programs that help “develop” our MBEs, and by connecting our corporate members with MBEs seeking to sell their goods and services. And, we seekto connect larger MBEs who purchase the goods and services sold by our smaller MBEs.
Opportunities for development and for meaningful connections will be in abundance at the upcoming GNEMSDC Business Opportunity Conference and Expo on September 27th at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA. The theme of this year’sConference and Expo is “Fueling Economic Growth for Minority Business Development.”
The Conference will feature two panels: 1) the use by MBEs of “Inorganic Growth” strategies like mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic partnerships; and 2) a joint corporate and MBE panel featuring “Best Practices” and “Success Stories” in connection with significant minority business development.
In addition, we will feature the usual Match Maker session with a slightly modified approach in which our matching software will be used to pre-screen and thereby enhance the opportunity to make substantive connections between MBE suppliers and corporate buyers for the purchase of goods and services.
Our event also will feature the Expo, which provides corporations and MBEs with an opportunity to showcase their products and services, as well as a platform for smaller MBEs to sell to larger MBEs.
The highlight of the Conference and Expo will be a keynote address by Quincy Miller, the President of Eastern Bank. Eastern Bank, through its creation and leadership of the “Business Equity Initiative”, is truly a catalyst and innovator in the areas of economic inclusion and minority business development.
We conclude with the Shining Star reception. Our honorees this year have made numerous contributions to GNEMSDC and include: Glynn Lloyd, of Eastern Bank, and Bill Witcher of Minuteman Trucks.
Please register below so that you can join us on September 27th. Our MBEs can connect with our corporate partners, and our smaller MBEs can market their goods and services to our larger MBEs. And, our panels will provide the intellectual capital that helps transform our aspirations for minority business development into reality.
